HELP IS NEEDED!

Want to help your neighbor? Be actively involved in your community?

Become a member of the Plunketts Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department. See our Membership page for details on becoming a member.

What can you do to help?

  1. Become a FIREFIGHTER – Requirements include willing to train and the desire to help people in their time of need.

  2. Become an EMERGENCY MEDICIAL TECHNICIAN (EMT) or EMERGENCE RESPONDER (EMR) -- Requirements include willing to train and receive certification through the Department of Health and the desire to help people in their time of illness or injury.

  3. Become a FIRE POLICE - Requirements include willing to train and the desire to keep your fellow emergency workers and community safe during an incident.

  4. MAINTENANCE - If responding to an emergency isn’t your “niche,” the daily maintenance of the building and grounds is needed. Yard work in the summer, shoveling the walks in the winter and the odd jobs needed to keep up the building is all part of being a respectable community service.

  5. FUNDRAISING - Everyone is required to participate in raising money to provide the service. BUT if special events is the only thing you want to do—YOU ARE NEEDED! The regular events include Breakfast (6 times a year), Breakfast and concession stand at Loyalsock Valley Early Days in August, the hayride (2nd and 3rd weekends in October) , Basket BINGO (March & November).
