Plunketts Creek Fire 5/3/2026
On Sunday, May 3, 2026, Plunketts Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fully involved two story structure. The second alarm fire was assisted by companies from Eldred Township, Montoursville, Hillsgrove, Loyalsock, Muncy, Montgomery, Picture Rocks, Forksville, and EMS. The fire department responded to several “flair ups” following the initial incident. We are very thankful that the resident (the mother of one of our fireman) and her dog, escaped the fire unharmed. We are also thankful for the fifteen volunteers who responded to the incident as well as our mutual aid partners, their volunteers and equipment.
